Summer 2019 Global Conference
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill welcomed doctoral students from partner institutions King’s College London, the National University of Singapore, the Universidad San Francisco de Quito, and Universität Tübingen to the 2019 Royster Global Conference, held May 28-31, 2019.
The 2019 Royster Global Conference explored how different disciplines approach borders and how engaging in cross- and inter-disciplinary conversations might enable rethinking borders: what borders are, what purposes they serve, and how the creation, transcendence or dismantling of borders might generate new concepts, practices and agendas.
This theme built upon the conversations about the borders between universities and their surrounding communities explored in the 2018 Royster Global Conference.
